    Alan,

this might have been the funniest thing i have seen in quite a while.

“Who designed the Dawkins, just answer me that.” Might have been the funniest thing ever.

Trying to bring a serious point here (maybe in vain), the random alphabet bit was very illuminating. The people who would find such a view of Dawkins’ writings ridiculous can’t even begin to fathom (neither can i) the amount of design evident in the universe, and the probability of randomness or design in the
universe. Kind of made the Atheist look a bit silly to me.

    Have a good day alan.

    Thanks, Derek.

It seems clear (to me at least) that the arguments in the piece are meant to be tongue in cheek, but like all good satire they have a serious point. And the point here is that anyone who would argue that “design” explanations cannot be basic (i.e., irreducible to natural law or chance), thereby undercuts their own status as a designer. (It’s not really you, it’s your “selfish genes”!)
